If you possess an adventurous spirit and have a penchant for two-wheeled exploration, there’s nothing quite like the excitement of attending an Adventure Bike Festival.
In late June 2023, I embarked on an exhilarating journey with my trusty CRF300L, accompanied by three close mates, to experience the renowned ABR Festival held at Ragley Hall in Warwickshire, UK. This festival promised an unforgettable blend of trail riding, inspiring talks, lively social gatherings, and a marketplace brimming with motorcycle gear and accessories. Join me as I recount the highlights of this incredible adventure!

The Riding Experience:
The ABR Festival is an oasis for off-road enthusiasts, catering to riders of all skill levels. The festival provided two notable trails to explore: the TRF Trail and the Bridgestone Trail. We wasted no time and eagerly hit the trails, relishing the challenge and breathtaking scenery that unfolded before us.
The TRF Trail, developed in collaboration with the Trail Riders Fellowship, offered a fantastic mix of technical sections and flowing paths. Riding through dense woodlands, navigating grass sections and muddy crossings, and conquering rocky terrain made for an invigorating test of our riding skills. The trail was well-marked and marshalled, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. The marshals were certainly very adapt at dragging bikes out of the muddy sections.
The Bridgestone Trail was somewhat more sedate and offered a more accessible trail for those wanting to test their bikes and riding ability. From weaving through narrow singletracks to powering through open fields, the Bridgestone Trail still provided an adrenaline-fueled adventure for all those involved.

Engaging Talks and Inspiration:
One of the highlights of the ABR Festival was the opportunity to listen to talks from some of the world’s best adventure riders and social media stars. These seasoned explorers shared their awe-inspiring stories, providing valuable insights and tips for riders seeking their own epic journeys. From conquering remote regions to navigating through challenging terrains, their tales ignited a our passion for adventure riding even further.

Vibrant Atmosphere and Vendors:
The festival’s atmosphere was electric, buzzing with the camaraderie of like-minded enthusiasts from all walks of life. As we mingled with fellow riders, swapped stories, and shared our love for motorcycles, it felt like being part of a closely-knit community united by a common passion.
The marketplace was a treasure trove for motorcycle enthusiasts, with vendors offering a wide array of gear, accessories, and equipment. From top-notch riding gear to innovative gadgets, we found ourselves spoilt for choice. It was the perfect opportunity to upgrade our equipment and indulge in some retail therapy while discovering the latest advancements in the adventure riding world.
Unforgettable Nights:
When the sun dipped below the horizon, the festivities continued into the night. The ABR Festival showcased a vibrant social scene, with live music and impromptu gatherings under the starlit sky. We relished the chance to unwind, swap stories with newfound friends, and soak in the contagious energy of the event. It was an experience that brought us closer together, forging lasting memories and connections.
Conclusion:
Attending the 2023 ABR Festival at Ragley Park was an adventure in itself, like many others we overindulged, drinking and eating a little too much, for which I can only blame the fabulous weather. It has that kind of effect on us!
I really enjoyed conquering trails, listening to awe-inspiring talks and indulging in the vibrant festival atmosphere.
So, if you’re an adventure bike enthusiast seeking an unforgettable experience, mark your calendars for the next ABR Festival. Trust me; you won’t be disappointed.
